ALL player's name in the game have changed to weird ones, ALL stadium names eras...

i spent half a year adjusting all the teams formations, squads and stadium names and wanted to have edgar davids still on the game
SO
i SPECIFICALLY saved a seperate squad file with the squads before the january squad update. That save had all the stadium names, formations and lineups that i saved for the game and also so players like edgar davids don disappear with the january updates..
everything was fine, i started a career mode and whatnot, everything was fine, then for the 1st time since the january squad updates and UT updates i go to play a game or 2 of UT.
after getting back from UT the squad save that had all my moths-in-the-work stadium, formation, lineup adjustments are gone, the squads have been set to default and EVERYONE in the game has weird names that for some reason start with the 1st letter of the players real names and surnames but the rest is random.
so for some u it might be easy to just reset squads and download new updates (i have that on my other save file) but what the hell happened to my old save file and what can i do bout it?? (and hopefully something, cause ive waisted days and nights and weeks and months adjusting the game and now when i finally start career mode, 1 game of UT suddenly FUBARs it all..??
